Objective of the Manifesto
The BHA Manifesto is a concise brochure on why hydropower is important, what the industry needs to allow mobilisation and what it will deliver for UK plc. The objective of the Manifesto is to gain visibility and show how further deployment of hydropower in the UK, will help meet the government’s ambition to create a stable, operable decarbonised grid by 2035.
Using the Manifesto
It is recognised that, without the political will, incentives (stable price mechanisms) will not be unlocked by politicians and civil servants, and other barriers will not receive the attention needed to allow progress. How can I find out who my MP is and what his voting record is?
To find out who your MP is go to https://www.theyworkforyou.com/ which shows your MP and their voting record as well.
How should I contact my MP?
By putting your postcode here: https://members.parliament.uk/members/Commons, you should find your local MP with their email address and constituency office listed. You can either send a letter or email, whichever suits you best.
Can I contact MPs besides my own?
You can contact any MP if for example you are undertaking business in their constituency, however if you have no connections to their constituency, it is unlikely you will get anything more than a stock response.
