Course Outline


This Hydropower training course is CPD accredited with the following Learning outcomes:

  • Understanding first-hand the site-specific features and regulatory constraints that
    influence hydropower design and choice of technology.
  • Experiencing the operational and maintenance realities of running different types of hydro turbine, automated controls, and screening technologies.

The course will be a series of preparatory webinars to give a grounding in Hydropower theory and practice. Course notes will be provided, alongside exercises to complete in between the webinars.

This course will be run by Hydropower Engineer, Olly Paish, and supported by Kate Gilmartin
