The British Hydropower Association (BHA) is proud to announce its partnership with Change Mental Health, a distinguished mental health charity with more than 50 years’ experience in providing non-clinical and person-centred support to those affected by mental illness. As a testament to this collaboration, Change Mental Health has been designated as the charity partner of the British Hydropower Association.

Change Mental Health’s mission is to place people at the core of their initiatives, delivering transformational support to ensure that everyone has access to the support they need, when they need it and in a way that works best for them. With a commitment to changing society by altering attitudes, fighting stigma and influencing government policies, Change Mental Health strives for a better quality of life for individuals impacted by mental illness.

The charity supports over 7,000 people annually, offering an Advice and Support Service that assists individuals in finding the most suitable support through signposting. Additionally, it provides emotional support to address concerns such as financial stress and emergency situations. It is essential to recognise that mental health issues can affect anyone, with an estimated one in four people experiencing mental health issues in their lifetime.

Change Mental Health originated from a heartfelt article by a journalist supporting his son dealing with schizophrenia. Carers rallied their support, and a charity dedicated to supporting those affected by severe and enduring mental illness was born.

Key Collaboration Highlights:
