BHA give evidence at the Environmental Audit Committee Hearing on Electrifying the Grid

Our CEO Kate Gilmartin was in Parliament for the second time within the past month, this time to give evidence to the Environmental Audit Committee on Enabling the Sustainable Electrification of the UK Economy alongside Ed Porter from Modo Energy and Sir Chris Llewellyn Smith, Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of Oxford.

We emphasized the crucial role of hydropower in advancing the UK’s electrification goals. These engagements with parliamentary committees underscore the BHA’s commitment to promoting sustainable energy solutions at the highest levels of government.

These last two committees have been an excellent opportunity to present the benefits of hydropower to politicians, and we hope to maintain this momentum this election year!
