DESCRIPTION:Working together for more sustainable rivers in Northern Ireland\nWednesday 7th October 9am – 5pm\nDunsilly Hotel\, 20 Dunsilly Rd\, Antrim BT41 2JH\n  \n\nOur Aim\nTo bring together regulators\, policymakers\, elected representatives\,\nenvironmental organisations and hydropower operators to explore how\nenvironmental regulation can evolve to deliver healthier rivers\, greater\ntransparency and better environmental outcomes. \n  \nObjectives\nBy the end of the day delegates should:\nUnderstand the challenges: Develop a shared understanding of the biggest pressures affecting Northern Ireland’s rivers and waterways.\nExplore proportionality: Consider whether current regulatory effort is being directed towards the activities capable of delivering the greatest\nenvironmental improvement.\nImprove dialogue: Create constructive conversations between regulators and regulated businesses. \nInfluence legislation: Provide evidence and recommendations to inform the Fisheries\, Aquaculture and Water Environment Bill currently\nprogressing through the Assembly.\nBuild trust: Move relationships towards collaborative catchment management.\nCreate an action plan: Identify practical actions that industry\, regulators and government can take together over the next twelve months. \n  \nTickets \nBHA member delegate ticket                                                   Free of Charge \nNon-member delegate ticket                                                   £50.00 + VAT
